Chef Fabio Salvatore’s mission is to compose authentic Italian dishes and to introduce others to the wonderful flavors of Italy.
Chef Fabio has possessed a passion for food since his childhood growing up in Casalincontrada Abruzzo, Italy. Starting in a kitchen at the young age of 13, Fabio was influenced by his grandmother and mother’s wonderful cooking and baking. Chef Salvatore obtained his formal culinary training at the Istituto Professionale Alberghiero di Pescara, Italy. Before relocating to the United States, Chef Salvatore apprenticed with many talented and famous Italian chefs/mentors such as Ennio Mencarelli, Lucio Antonietti, and Vicenzo Camerucci. He also travelled to London to intern with a Star Michelin chef Marco Torri. With each learning experience Chef Fabio gained a knowledge of different Italian regional cuisines.
In October 1997, Chef Fabio relocated to United states where he became Executive Chef of Ristorante Terrazza, Chevy Chase, MD. In 2003, he accepted a job as a Chef de Cusine at Café Milano, Washington DC where he became an Executive Chef in 2005. While working at Café Milano, Chef Salvatore had an honor of cooking for the Pope Benedict XVI, Presidents and many other high profile clients. In search for a new challenge, in 2015 Chef Fabio became Executive Chef/Partner at Sette Osteria Restaurant Group.
Chef Fabio truly enjoys cooking and making people happy with his food.
